| Julie Hall has published numerous nonfiction books for children and has worked for twenty years as a freelance writer and editor of science, social studies, and literature curriculum; advertising and website copy; magazine articles; business materials; and career, health, and travel books. Her poetry has won grants and awards and appeared in anthologies and magazines, including The Nation and The Threepenny Review. Her book-length collection of poems, The Winter Garden, was a finalist for the 2003 Ohio State University Press/The Journal Award in Poetry. Julie has a BA in English and an MFA in Writing. Her book for kids on climate change, A Hot Planet Needs Cool Kids, is Green Goat Books' first publication. Read an interview with Julie.

| Sarah Lane is a published writer and illustrator whose fiction has been anthologized and won awards. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Fine Arts in Writing. She has worked as a curriculum and business editor and writer for twenty years, trained teachers, taught writing at the high school and college levels, and worked as a professional graphic designer. She illustrated Julie’s new book A Hot Planet Needs Cool Kids. She has also written a number of multicultural curriculum books for teachers and is writing and designing the curriculum packet and Kids’ Climate Change Challenge game to accompany Hot Planet. |
